Like an Eagle

Just like an eagle that soars the sky
God watches his creation
As He reigns above in heaven on high
He sees every nation

Although the world takes Him for granted
And chases after lust
We are the seed that He has planted
And formed us out of dust

He spoke to make the world appear
Starting with the light
Then the upper atmosphere
Displaying all his might

He made the land and sea to show
And plants fresh and new
The sun, moon, and stars we know
God also formed them too

Then the fish and birds He made
To fill the sea and sky
The last was cattle, made to graze
Along with human kind

When God sent Jesus down to earth
It was not for Him to reign
Since the only reason for His birth
Was to share our grief and pain

The sacrifice that Jesus made
Was death upon the cross
But He rose again the third day
To show there was no loss

At His second coming each knee will bend
And He will come as King
Though the sinful world draws nigh to end
We will rise on eagle's wings
